Is it the Sunday you have been dreading? Unable to get out of bed with a splitting headache and extremely dehydrated? We have all been there and wishing for a magic remedy to help us feel better.

hangover

Although prevention is better than cure, there are things you could do to help reduce the painful hangover the next morning.

The Saturday night:

  • Try not to mix drinks and stick to one kind of spirit / liquor
  • Space out your drinks - as hard as this might sound try to let the drink sink in before you reach out for the next
  • If you can't taste the alcohol, then you are way past the point of being drunk and very likely to being kicked out of the club and making a fool of yourself
  • At the end of the night, try to stay up and finish a whole litre of water and a squeeze of lemon added works wonders

The morning after:

  • You pretty much missed all the points above and landed yourself in deep pain - pain that makes you realise that it was so not worth it. In this case try to follow the points above as you already know prevention is better than cure (again!).
  • Your body does not want to trust anything you give it the morning after and even the water you drink comes out in a couple of minutes.
  • A good cold ice cream can do the trick - a soothing cold sugary treat can get your body slowly back to normal.
  • If this works, you will now be able to slowly start drinking more water and easily digestible foods.
  • You have abused your body and you have to pay the price, so be gentle and look after it. Give your body healthy foods with a high water content such as salads and fruits.

Water is Key! Alcohol dries out your body like nothing can and your hydration level drops drastically. Drink plenty of water from a trust worthy water filterand look after yourself - Your body is your life, with good health comes success and happiness.
