• Stage 1 Pre-filter: The initial screening stage with a 5 micron filter to remove large particles and sediments

• Stage 2 Sediment filter: 1 micron spun filter to remove smaller and finer sediments and micro-organisms.

• Stage 3 Carbon Block filter: 1 micron carbon block to remove heavy metals, VOCs, pesticides, insecticides, Chlorine and odours.

• Stage 4 RO membrane: Removes even the smallest virus and bacteria, fluoride and any other contaminants that were not removed in the previous stages.

• Stage 5 Post Carbon filter: Final stage to aerate the water pumping oxygen while giving the water it's fresh and crisp taste.

The water filter uses disposable filters making replacing cartridges as simple as screwing off the old ones and screwing in the new filters. The Phoenix Infinity comes with a stylish casing to conseal all the parts including the tank, filters and RO membrane.

How often should the filters be replaced?

To prolong the life of the reverse osmosis membrane, the pre-filters and the post filters should be replaced periodically. We recommend that Stage 1, 2, 3 and 5 be replaced every 6 months and a new membrane put in every 2 years. As the life of the filter depends on the quality of the water, if the flow rate of filtered water reduces noticably - it's time for the membrane to be switched over to a new one.
